Director or Managing Director | Financial Sponsors Group | London
A leading global investment bank is looking to appoint a Director or Managing Director within its Financial Sponsors Group in London.
This is a senior origination and relationship management role, offering the opportunity to work with some of the world's most prominent private equity sponsors across the UK and wider EMEA market. The successful individual will play a key role in deepening sponsor relationships, originating financing opportunities, and coordinating coverage efforts across a broad product platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage relationships with leading private equity firms and alternative asset managers.
- Originate and execute financing opportunities across leveraged finance, acquisition finance, capital markets, fund finance, M&A, and broader investment banking products.
- Lead strategic dialogue with sponsors on acquisitions, portfolio company financing, exits, recapitalisations, and capital structure solutions.
- Coordinate closely with industry coverage, leveraged finance, debt capital markets, equity capital markets, M&A, and other product partners.
- Drive revenue generation and contribute to the continued growth of the Financial Sponsors franchise across EMEA.
- Mentor and develop junior team members while helping shape the strategic direction of the platform.

Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience within Financial Sponsors Coverage, Leveraged Finance, Investment Banking Coverage, or a closely related environment.
- Established relationships across the private equity community.
- Proven track record of originating and executing sponsor-led transactions.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to generate business and build long-term client relationships.
- Excellent understanding of acquisition finance, leveraged lending, capital markets, and broader investment banking products.
- Leadership experience and the ability to operate effectively within a highly collaborative environment.
