Director Performance Marketing

Location: Bristol / Hybrid

Salary: £100,000 - £130,000

Experience: 5+ years in B2B SaaS performance or revenue marketing, with demonstrable experience scaling a startup or scale-up to multi-million ARR.

About Jugo:

Jugo is the future of enterprise communication.

Using real-time AI and GPU-enhanced video technology, Jugo transforms flat meeting environments into branded, high-impact communication experiences that improve presence, attention, confidence, and commercial outcomes.

Jugo works on top of existing platforms like Zoom and Teams as a performance layer – no downloads, no plug-ins.

While Jugo Intelligence, our advanced AI, analyses meeting content and sentiment with unmatched depth, surfacing commercial intelligence that helps leaders close deals faster, shape sharper strategies, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Built for brand impact. Built for intelligence. Built for conversion.

The Role: Director Performance Marketing

We’re looking for a strategic, hungry, and high-impact performance marketer to own and scale Jugo’s demand engine, with a single-minded focus on driving high-volume, conversion-ready leads for Jugo SaaS and Jugo Studio.

This isn’t a brand-first marketing role, and it isn’t a strategy-only VP position. We want a builder, not a commentator. Someone with deep experience in performance marketing for SaaS who is still hands-on, still experimenting, still shipping campaigns, and still accountable for outcomes. You will be directly responsible for generating warm, ready-to-buy, demand, as well as longer-term high LTV strategic demand.

This role sits at the sharp end of growth. You’ll design, launch, test, and scale the channels, messages, and mechanics that turn intent into paid seats, fast. You won’t hide behind decks, agencies, or abstract frameworks. You’ll be trusted to operate independently, move quickly, and own the numbers, building a demand machine that feeds the business with real buyers, not theoretical pipeline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Performance Marketing Ownership & Demand Growth:

  • Own Jugo’s performance marketing engine end to end, with full accountability for volume, quality, and conversion-readiness of inbound SaaS demand.
  • Design, execute, and continuously optimise campaigns that generate warm, ready-to-buy, single-seat Jugo SaaS leads at scale.
  • Translate Jugo use cases into high-intent messaging that drives immediate action, not long-cycle education.
  • Own key demand metrics including cost per conversion-ready lead, conversion rate to first paid seat, and time from first touch to payment.
  • Maintain a disciplined, real-time view of funnel performance from first click through to paid seat handoff.
  • Achieve agreed demand and revenue contribution targets consistently and predictably.

Channel Strategy & Execution

  • Build and scale high-performing acquisition channels including paid search, paid social, landing pages, experiments, and product-led entry points.
  • Test aggressively and iterate quickly, doubling down on what converts and killing what doesn’t without ceremony.
  • Design campaigns around clear use cases and buying triggers, not generic personas or brand narratives.
  • Ensure every campaign has a defined commercial outcome and a clear next step tied to seat purchase or evaluation.
  • Work closely with Sales and RevOps to ensure demand is routed, accepted, and converted cleanly.

Conversion & Funnel Optimisation

  • Own the handoff criteria between Marketing and Sales, ensuring only conversion-ready demand enters the sales motion.
  • Optimise landing pages, flows, and messaging to reduce friction and accelerate speed to first payment.
  • Use behavioural signals and real usage data to surface high-intent demand, not over-nurture low-quality leads.

Insight, Measurement & Commercial Discipline

  • Maintain clear visibility of funnel health, drop-off points, and conversion bottlenecks.
  • Use data to prioritise effort and investment, focusing on what materially moves paid seat adoption.
  • Partner closely with RevOps to ensure attribution is defensible, metrics are trusted, and reporting reflects reality.
  • Feed real-world insight back into messaging, pricing assumptions, and positioning based on what buyers actually respond to.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have deep, hands-on experience driving performance marketing in SaaS or product-led growth environments.
  • Are comfortable being a VP who executes, not just directs or reviews.
  • Have personally run campaigns, funnels, and experiments that convert intent into revenue.
  • Understand how to optimise for speed to purchase, not just lead volume.
  • Are commercially sharp and think in terms of conversion, margin, and scale.
  • Prefer clarity over complexity and momentum over perfection.
  • Can operate independently, take ownership, and be trusted with a critical growth engine.
  • Get energy from seeing ideas turn into live campaigns and measurable results.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Jugo SaaS lead volume is high, predictable, and conversion-ready.
  • Cost per conversion-ready lead and time to first payment are trending down.
  • Sales teams trust inbound demand because it converts quickly and consistently.
  • The demand engine is active, adaptive, and scalable across multiple use cases and verticals.
  • Marketing is seen internally as a revenue-driving function, not a support layer.
  • Jugo’s SaaS growth is driven by a steady flow of buyers who already know why they want it before they speak to anyone.
  • You are recognised internally as the person who built and runs the engine, not just the one who described it.

What We Offer:

  • £100K - £130K base salary + variable + potential equity
  • Leadership voice in one of the UK’s most exciting SaaS scale-ups
  • Hybrid working with access to our central Bristol HQ
  • 25 days holiday + public holidays
  • A brand, product, and mission that genuinely breaks new ground

Why This Role Matters:

Jugo exists to reimagine digital communication - to turn every virtual interaction into a powerful, persuasive, brand-building moment. As our commercial leader, you’ll drive that transformation from the front - helping us take a category-defining product to the world and making Jugo the new standard for virtual performance.

If you’re ready to Own the Moment - we’d love to meet you.
