The Opportunity
We're seeking a Director, Pricing Strategy & Monetization to lead the development of pricing, packaging, and commercial strategies across Sage's software portfolio in the UK and Continental Europe.
This is a highly visible leadership role that sits at the intersection of Product, Commercial, Finance, Marketing, and Revenue Operations. You'll help drive some of Sage's most important growth decisions, ensuring our products are positioned, packaged, and priced to deliver maximum value for customers while driving sustainable business performance.
You'll combine deep commercial expertise, analytical rigor, and executive-level influence to unlock new revenue opportunities, modernize pricing capabilities, and help shape the future of monetization at Sage. With access to rich customer insights, market intelligence, and emerging AI-powered capabilities, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how we make commercial decisions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Pricing & Monetization Strategy
- Develop and execute pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies that support Sage's growth objectives.
- Evaluate existing commercial models and identify opportunities to improve customer adoption, retention, and revenue performance.
- Design innovative pricing structures for new and existing products, services, and solution offerings.

Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner closely with Product, Commercial, Finance, Marketing, and Revenue Operations leaders to assess strategic opportunities and investment decisions.
- Provide thought leadership on commercial strategy, helping teams balance customer value with business outcomes.
- Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership through data-driven recommendations and business cases.
Market & Customer Insights
- Analyze customer behavior, competitive positioning, market dynamics, and financial performance to uncover growth opportunities.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights that drive better commercial decision-making.
- Stay informed on industry trends, evolving software business models, and best practices in monetization.
Analytics & AI-Driven Decision Making
- Leverage advanced analytics, experimentation, market intelligence, and AI-enabled tools to enhance pricing effectiveness and accelerate insights.
- Define and monitor key success metrics, measuring the impact of pricing and packaging initiatives across the business.
- Build scalable frameworks that enable consistent and data-informed commercial decisions.
Leadership & Enablement
- Champion pricing and monetization best practices across Sage.
- Build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, navigating complex business challenges and driving change at scale.
- Foster a culture of commercial excellence, continuous improvement, and customer-centric thinking.

What We're Looking For
- Significant experience leading pricing strategy, monetization, commercial strategy, revenue management, management consulting, or related disciplines within technology or SaaS environments.
- Strong understanding of software business models, recurring revenue strategies, and commercial frameworks.
- Demonstrated success designing and implementing pricing and packaging strategies that drive business growth.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn data into strategic recommendations.
- Experience developing executive-level business cases and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with customer-centric thinking.
- Experience utilizing data analytics and AI-enabled tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and highly collaborative environment.
