About the Platform
This is a US headquartered investment bank and broker dealer with offices across the US, Europe and Latin America. It has a long track record of moving cross border capital, especially into and out of growth and emerging markets. Private credit is one of its core business lines, not a side offering.
The model is arranging, not lending. The firm finds companies that need financing, structures the right facility, and places it with a broad network of lenders, including commercial banks, credit funds, private merchants and credit focused family offices. Clients get access to capital they couldn't reach alone. Lenders get well structured deals they wouldn't otherwise see.
About the Private Credit Team
The private credit team is run from London by a senior banker with more than 25 years in debt capital markets and private debt. The team is small and senior, and covers origination, structuring, placement and execution in one group.
The team's coverage spans three core areas:
- Asset backed lending, including real estate, receivables and hard asset backed facilities.
- Specialty finance, including forward flow, warehouse and funding lines for fintech and non bank lenders.
- Trade and commodity finance, including structured trade and cross border working capital solutions.
Sector focus includes fintech, real estate and renewable energy across EMEA. Deals range from first time facilities for growing lenders to refinancings and bespoke structures for established corporates and sponsors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Because the team is lean, senior hires sit right next to the decisions. You'll own client relationships, shape the structure of each deal, and work directly with the head of the team on pricing, lender selection and execution.
The Role
You'll join as a senior originator in London. You'll build and grow your own book of mandates, and take deals from first conversation through structuring, placement and close. Your earnings are tied directly to the business you bring in.
Responsibilities
- Originate new financing mandates through direct relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, fintech and specialty lenders, developers and advisors.
- Structure asset backed, specialty finance and trade finance facilities, covering debt sizing, tranching, covenants, security packages and credit enhancement.
- Prepare lender materials, including credit papers, information memoranda, financial models and term sheets.
- Run placement processes with banks, credit funds and family offices. Manage lender feedback, negotiate terms and drive deals to close.
- Coordinate legal, tax and technical advisors through documentation and closing.
- Map sectors and build a proprietary pipeline, with a focus on fintech, real estate and renewables.
- Build and maintain relationships across the lender universe so the firm stays close to where capital is available and on what terms.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- 10+ years of experience in debt origination, structuring or distribution. This usually means a bank's DCM, leveraged finance, structured finance or securitisation team, a debt advisory firm, or a private credit fund.
- A proven track record of fees or mandates you personally originated, not only team revenue.
- Existing client relationships you can realistically bring to a new platform.
- Direct experience of at least one of: asset backed lending, specialty finance and forward flow, securitisation, real estate debt, renewables financing, or trade and commodity finance.
- Strong knowledge of the private credit lender universe and how different lenders price and structure risk.
- An entrepreneurial approach and comfort with a compensation model weighted toward performance.
- A degree from a leading university. An MBA or CFA is valued but not required.
- Existing right to work in the UK.
Why Join
- Uncapped earnings. The package is a base salary plus a direct share of the fees you originate, with no cap.

- Freedom to build your own book across sectors and structures, backed by a global lender network.
- A platform with a US broker dealer and offices across several markets, supporting cross border deals.
- Real ownership of client relationships and deal outcomes, rather than a slice of a large bank's franchise.
