Director, Private Wealth Relations / Partner
Private Equity • Private Wealth & Family Office Capital • London
A London-based institutional private equity firm is looking to collaborate with an experienced private wealth professional to lead capital formation across family offices, ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth investors, and private banking channels.
The firm is built around a senior, founder-led team with institutional governance and a proven investment strategy across deep-tech, healthcare, financial services, and insurance. This is a role for someone who has spent their career working directly with private wealth clients — advising on investments, building trusted relationships, and raising capital — and is now looking for a platform where they can own the function and participate meaningfully in the economics of what they build.
ABOUT YOU
- You have built your career in the private wealth sector. Your background is in Private Banking, Asset Management, Multi-Family Offices, Fund Placement, or a similar client-facing environment.
- You work directly with family offices, UHNWI, and HNWI clients, and you have an extensive, active network of private capital allocators with a demonstrable track record of raising capital from them.
- You understand how private wealth investors think, what they look for in an allocation, and how to position a compelling investment opportunity in a way that resonates.
- You are as comfortable in a one-to-one meeting with a family office principal as you are presenting to an investment committee at a private bank.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a senior role, working directly with and supporting the firm’s founding team. The successful individual would join with full ownership of the private wealth capital formation strategy, with scope to:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
- Drive capital raising for the firm’s fund products with a focus on family offices, UHNWI, HNWI, and private banking channels.
- Build an account plan for each investor relationship and ensure the firm’s value proposition is correctly positioned for each client segment.
- Build and deepen working relationships with key investors and decision-makers in target organizations.
- Know your investors’ commercial situation — their allocation priorities, liquidity constraints, risk appetite, and investment preferences.
- Advise private wealth clients on investments and capital allocations, acting as a trusted partner rather than a transactional fundraiser.
- Prepare and deliver investor documentation, presentations, and reporting in line with compliance, legal, and audit requirements.
- Stay current on market developments, competitor positioning, and the evolving needs of private wealth allocators.
- Participate meaningfully in the economics of capital raised, including generous annual bonus, GP carry participation, and equity in the firm.
EXPERIENCE
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- 15+ years working directly with clients in the private wealth sector — family offices, UHNWI, HNWI, and related channels.
- A successful, attributable track record of capital raised from private wealth investors.
- Background and experience at Private Banks, Asset Managers, Multi-Family Offices, PE firms, Fund-of-Funds, or Fund Placement Agents.
- Experience advising private wealth clients on investments or capital allocations — not solely product distribution.
- Extensive existing network of private wealth investors capable of generating actionable commitments.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to convey complex investment information in a clear, precise, and compelling way.
- Good understanding of investment products and processes in the funds industry, in particular alternative investments.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit — comfortable working with autonomy and initiative as part of a small, senior team.
- A good understanding of DeepTech market dynamics is desirable but not essential — training and firm-supported learning will be provided.
- There is a possibility to work remotely from other major global financial centers.

- Highly competitive base salary.
- Generous additional annual bonuses on top of base salary, directly linked to capital raising performance.
- Access to meaningful GP carry participation with significant potential to grow.
