Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially successful Director to join our Procurement Transformation Advisory practice. As a member of the Procurement & Supply Chain Advisory leadership team, this individual will play a key role in shaping the growth, strategy, market positioning and culture of the practice.
The role is centred on four core leadership responsibilities:
- Sales & Origination – building senior client relationships, creating and converting opportunities, leading proposals and supporting the growth of the practice.
- Client Delivery – leading complex procurement and source-to-pay transformation programmes that deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- Team Development – recruiting, developing, coaching and inspiring high-performing consulting teams.
- Practice Development – developing propositions, thought leadership, alliances and market-leading capabilities, working collaboratively across the firm to connect procurement with wider KPMG propositions.
We are looking for an ambitious consulting leader with the vision, drive and proven consulting experience to help clients transform their procurement functions and realise the value of emerging technologies, including AI, automation and Agentic Procurement.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Origination
- Originate, shape and win procurement transformation engagements.
- Develop trusted relationships with CPOs, CFOs, COOs and other senior executives.
- Lead proposals, RFP responses and commercial negotiations.
- Build and maintain a strong external profile through networking, thought leadership and industry engagement.
- Collaborate with alliance and technology partners to drive joint market opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across KPMG’s sector, functional and technology teams to bring the best of the firm’s capabilities and propositions to clients.
Client Delivery
- Lead major procurement transformation programmes from strategy through implementation.
- Advise clients on procurement operating models, organisation design, process optimisation and digital transformation.
- Deliver engagements across procurement strategy, operating model transformation, source-to-pay, intake and orchestration, supplier management, cost transformation and procurement capability development.
- Support clients in adopting AI-enabled procurement capabilities, intelligent automation and Agentic Procurement solutions.
- Ensure high-quality delivery, strong commercial performance and exceptional client outcomes.
Team Development
- Coach and mentor Associate Directors, Managers and Consultants.
- Support recruitment and capability development across the practice.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Develop future leaders and strengthen the practice leadership pipeline.

Practice Development
- Develop and enhance market-leading procurement transformation propositions.
- Lead the thinking on AI-enabled procurement transformation and Agentic Procurement.
- Build strategic relationships with technology providers including Coupa, SAP Ariba, Ivalua, Zip, Jaggaer, Oracle and SAP.
- Contribute to thought leadership, innovation, alliance development and overall practice growth.
- Identify opportunities to combine procurement transformation with adjacent propositions such as supply chain, finance transformation, technology, sustainability, risk, tax and managed services.
Experience & Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience within a leading consulting, advisory or professional services organisation.
- A strong track record of originating and selling consulting engagements.
- Significant experience leading large-scale procurement transformation programmes.
- Deep expertise in procurement operating models, source-to-pay transformation and procurement cost transformation programmes.
- Experience advising senior executives and building long-term client relationships.
- Strong people leadership and team development experience.
- Excellent understanding of AI, automation, generative AI and emerging Agentic Procurement capabilities.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial acumen and a passion for building and growing a successful consulting business.
