Director, Product Management
Overview
Mastercard's Global Acceptance & Merchant Solutions focuses on making Mastercard the best way to pay everywhere. The In-Person Acceptance team is looking for a Director to own the programmatic foundation and enablement model for our contactless innovation portfolio – including Tap to More and new acceptance programs. Contactless now represents over 80% of in-person switched transactions on our network, and we are extending that same tap technology to entirely new commerce use cases and seller segments. This role will drive cross-functional initiatives, ensuring those programs are clearly governed, scalable, and technically enabled so partners can move from concept to pilot to commercial launch.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define, maintain, and evolve program rules, processes, and documentation for Tap to More and new in-person acceptance programs, including program guides, enrollment forms, and go to market materials.
- Manage pilot onboarding, lifecycle tracking, and program readiness across regions – from intake and approval through launch, learnings, and commercialization.
- Enable new use cases through third-party partners and internal product teams, partnering with Security, MACS, MDES, Send and others to evolve product roadmaps.
- Maintain relationships with fintechs, solution providers, PSPs, and other industry partners to ensure program compliance and identify new acceptance innovation opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
