In this role, you will bridge the technical and business worlds as you design and evolve our next-generation commercial data processing solution to support big data analytics and insights across heterogeneous data sources from life sciences and healthcare providers.

You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning, action-oriented analysis, a mindset that embraces possibility, and a relentless focus on delivering exceptional products.

This is a true SaaS solution with a cloud-native architecture that combines the power of data warehousing with the flexibility of big data platforms and the scalability of the cloud. You will drive product strategy, Go-to-Market initiatives, and key business relationships to capitalize on the significant market opportunity this offering presents. This role will be responsible, both internally and externally, for defining the vision, strategy, launch, and evangelism of the company’s information management initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Build and lead a team of professionals passionate about data management within the life sciences industry.
  • Maintain close working relationships with partners, development teams, QA, and delivery leads.
  • Collaborate with various solution and business areas to understand requirements and support product development.
  • Drive innovation and the development of new capabilities to address complex healthcare and life sciences data management challenges.
  • Effectively manage and navigate frequent changes and competing priorities.
  • Provide thought leadership and champion product management best practices across the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing architecture, design principles, and concepts.
  • Background in the Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical industry required.
  • 10+ years of experience building, managing, and driving data management and analytics innovation within the life sciences domain.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in databases, data warehousing, data management, data lakes, and related technologies and methodologies.
  • Proven proficiency in designing and delivering solutions across multiple cloud platforms, with AWS expertise required; experience with additional cloud providers is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading initiatives involving complex data pipelines and analytics platforms utilizing technologies such as Hive, Spark, Presto, Cassandra, Hadoop, and ML/NLP capabilities.
