Senior Director, Sales Operations

Location: South of England (Hybrid)

About the Opportunity

An established global technology company operating at the forefront of the digital video and media industry is looking to appoint a Senior Director of Sales Operations to lead the transformation of its commercial operations function.

This is a highly strategic leadership role, offering the opportunity to build and scale a best-in-class Sales Operations capability that enables commercial growth, improves forecasting accuracy, enhances sales productivity, and delivers greater operational excellence across a global business.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, you will partner with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product and Executive Leadership to develop the processes, systems and insights that drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Sales Operations leader who enjoys creating structure, implementing best practices and using data-driven insights to influence business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing Sales Operations function that supports the company's long-term commercial growth strategy.
  • Develop and improve sales forecasting, pipeline governance, reporting and performance management across global sales teams.
  • Deliver meaningful commercial insights and analytics that enable informed strategic decision-making.
  • Drive CRM optimisation, data quality and sales technology adoption to improve operational efficiency and sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Executive Leadership to support planning, target setting and resource allocation.
  • Design and implement scalable operational processes that improve productivity and create greater commercial predictability.
  • Support the development and management of sales compensation and commission plans.
  • Establish key performance metrics and reporting frameworks that enable continuous improvement across the commercial organisation.
  • Champion operational excellence by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and implement industry best practices.

About You

You'll be an experienced commercial operations leader with a passion for building scalable, high-performing sales organisations.

You'll bring:

  • 10+ years' experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations or Commercial Operations within a B2B technology business.
  • Demonstrated success building or transforming Sales Operations functions in complex, international organisations.
  • Strong expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, CRM platforms, reporting and commercial analytics.
  • Experience designing and managing sales compensation and commission structures.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Executive Leadership.
  • A collaborative, analytical and pragmatic approach, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the confidence to challenge, advise and lead senior stakeholders.
