About the role
The procurement team is an integral part of the PEPI practice and helps A&M provide a world class pre-deal diligence, post deal value creation strategy and savings implementation service for our clients across all industry sectors. We are looking for experienced procurement practitioners with a strong background in strategic sourcing and value delivery in either corporate or private equity environments. Experience in pre-deal diligence would be desirable.
As a Senior Associate / Director (m/f/d) in the PEPI Procurement team, you will concentrate on supporting the wider PEPI team on undertaking pre-deal diligence (both buy and sell side) and savings delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the procurement elements of wider buy and sell side pre deal diligence: summarizing the procurement opportunity, benefit range and levers, providing the analytical pathway and evidence to support the findings
- Managing the implementation of post deal savings delivery projects: building sourcing strategies, executing delivery and signing off savings
- Being a key part of the PEPI procurement team: Managing and delivering projects, participating in new business development, developing junior members of the team, engaging with the GCC to build a world class technical, analytical and research service to support the delivery team

Skills and Experiences
- A degree from an accredited university (Procurement specific related certifications are of interest)
- Around 5-10 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a track record of managing complex procurement programs Experience in some or all of the following sectors would be desirable: industrials / manufacturing, chemicals / process industries, IT & technology services, healthcare and CRG
- Sourcing experience in a selection of categories: metals, packaging, chemicals, manufacturing services, food products, logistics, CDMO and IT would be especially desirable
- A specific understanding of the key cost drivers and savings levers pertaining to the categories including such insights as global supply options and routes to value
- Data analysis – assimilated large volumes of often unstructured data and building relevant insights and hypotheses
- Preparing for and executing supplier negotiations
- Experience in building logical, fact-based documents (such as sourcing strategies, value creation plans and savings implementation plans)
- Confident in engaging with senior client stakeholders and presenting
- Evidence of the process of selling consulting services would be desirable
- Fluency in English is essential, additional European language skills are more than welcome.
