Role Overview
Are you looking for a leadership role where you can shape translational development strategy and influence critical programme decisions from early discovery through clinical development?
We're partnering with a highly regarded drug development consultancy that works closely with innovative biotech and pharmaceutical companies to address complex development challenges. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a senior scientific leader with expertise in translational PK/PD modelling, pharmacometrics, and model-informed drug development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading translational PK/PD modelling and pharmacometric strategies across preclinical and clinical development programmes
- Applying model-informed drug development principles to support decision-making from candidate selection through late-stage development
- Developing and integrating PK, PK/PD, exposure-response, and mechanistic models to inform programme strategy
- Advising clients on dose selection, first-in-human projections, clinical trial design, and development planning
- Providing scientific leadership across multidisciplinary project teams, including clinical pharmacology, pharmacometrics, DMPK, statistics, and regulatory functions
- Supporting regulatory submissions and contributing to interactions with global health authorities
- Mentoring and developing scientists while fostering technical excellence and innovation
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted scientific advisor
- Contributing to business development activities and helping expand the organisation's translational modelling capabilities

What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in translational sciences, PK/PD modelling, pharmacometrics, and clinical pharmacology within biotech, pharmaceutical, or consulting environments
- Strong understanding of model-informed drug development and translational medicine principles
- Experience applying quantitative approaches to support candidate selection, dose optimisation, and clinical development strategy
- Expertise in PK/PD, exposure-response modelling, and population-based modelling approaches
- Proficiency with industry-standard modelling tools such as NONMEM, Monolix, R, Phoenix, or equivalent platforms
- Experience supporting regulatory interactions and quantitative components of regulatory submissions
- Proven ability to lead scientific projects and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Previous experience mentoring teams and providing strategic scientific leadership
- Strong client-facing skills and commercial awareness
