Exciting Opportunity at a Fast-Growing UK Lender
About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing UK lender launching and scaling its specialist cashflow and leveraged lending platform.
We’re seeking an ambitious Origination Director to drive new business, build market presence and play a key role in the platform’s growth.
The lender provides £1m–£10m cashflow-led and leveraged finance solutions to established, profitable UK SMEs that are often underserved by traditional banks due to limited tangible security.
This is a chance to make your mark from day one, with the freedom to build your own market, leverage your existing network and originate significant transactions, backed by experienced credit, risk and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and execute £1m–£10m SME cashflow and leveraged lending transactions.
- Build and develop relationships with intermediaries, introducers, corporate finance advisers and business owners.
- Identify high-quality SMEs with strong fundamentals and compelling funding needs.
- Structure tailored lending solutions alongside credit and risk teams.
- Manage transactions from initial origination through to completion.
- Help shape the lending proposition and drive the platform’s growth strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
