Mission Neko is redefining what prevention means, from treating illness when it arrives, to sustaining health before it's ever at risk. Our mission: make data-driven, preventative care accessible to more people, before symptoms appear. In a single, non-invasive visit under an hour, proprietary technology and direct clinical care combine to deliver personalised, actionable insights. It's a team that thinks in 10x, not 10%. Every role here plays a part in building a world where prevention is the norm, and where your work genuinely helps people live longer, healthier lives. Role Purpose The Director of Software Engineering, Platform will lead the design, scaling, and reliability of Neko Health’s core infrastructure. This platform underpins health data, member data, and system reliability across clinics and internal product systems. This role is mission-critical: platform failures directly impact clinic operations and patient care. You will deliver an AI-first platform that ensures absolute resilience and regional scale, enabling the rest of the organization to scale our impact 10X faster.

What You’ll Deliver in the First 6–12 Months Establish a scalable, secure infrastructure platform on Azure supporting health and member data Enable significantly faster product deployment cycles through platform improvements Increase system reliability and reduce operational incidents affecting clinics Build and scale a high-performance platform engineering team (10-15 engineers initially) Define long-term platform strategy in close partnership with Product and Data Minimum Qualifications Proven experience building and scaling large-scale infrastructure systems Experience building infrastructure as a platform (PaaS mindset) or SRE-level systems Strong hands-on engineering background; ability to code and design systems Experience scaling infrastructure across regions Experience using AI tooling platforms (Claude Code) Experience leading managers and scaling to multi-team structures Preferred Experience Deep experience with Microsoft stack (Azure, Cosmos DB, Docker) Experience supporting data platform infrastructure Experience in highly regulated or mission-critical environments Exposure to AI platform development About titles at Neko We use a simplified internal title framework that prioritises clarity over hierarchy, so internal titles may differ from market‑facing role titles. Scope, impact and level of the role are fully aligned and will be clearly discussed throughout the process. Hiring Process Candidates progress from application and structured screening through thoughtfully designed interviews culminating in a formal offer and final pre-employment checks before joining the team. Equal Opportunity & Inclusion Statement Neko Health is committed to inclusive hiring and member-first care. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and encourage you to request reasonable adjustments to support your application.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
