Oxygen 8 Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading name in healthcare digital communications to find an exceptional Director, Strategic Accounts. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who knows how to turn strategic relationships into serious commercial growth.
Our client is a powerhouse in the pharma and healthcare communications space, delivering fully integrated digital marketing solutions to some of the biggest names in the industry. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of major strategic accounts and drive genuine, meaningful expansion across Europe.
If you're a strategic seller who thrives on complex, consultative relationships rather than transactional wins and you want the autonomy to build something significant, this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning and growing a portfolio of 4-6 major strategic accounts, with real scope to expand reach and revenue across Europe
- Building a strategic sales plan that identifies exactly where growth will come from — and delivering it
- Developing sophisticated, tailored proposals that align with client objectives — no shopping lists, no box-ticking
- Cultivating genuine, mutually beneficial relationships at senior and C-suite level
- Leading and directing account teams to prioritise opportunities and execute clear action plans
- Overseeing successful campaign delivery to maximise repeat business and account growth
- Owning the financial health of your portfolio — revenue, billings, forecasting, and CRM accuracy
- Working with autonomy through ambiguity — networking internally to build solutions that are both deliverable and commercially sound
- Turning performance data into compelling insight for your clients
- Representing the business at industry conferences and exhibitions

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
