Project 09 Communications

Project 09 is a boutique strategic communications and public affairs agency advising international clients in areas that drive business outcomes and shape reputations.

Our four core focus areas are reputation management, special situations, crisis readiness and response, and leadership advisory. Our partners bring international expertise across media engagement, public affairs, internal communications, brand strategy and digital - drawn from senior in-house positions as well as large financial communications agencies.

Our clients span a range of sectors, including heavy industry, manufacturing, energy, commodities, transportation, financial services, charities, family offices, and the arts. This breadth of experience allows us to apply specific sector knowledge while bringing lessons from other domains.

We pride ourselves on being a lean, nimble, and experienced team that provides high-contact senior counsel to our clients. We believe a collaborative and supportive environment drives the high standards we deliver in our work.

About the role

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual that can join our team and support the next phase of our growth.

The right candidate will have around 5-7 years’ experience working in an agency environment, or an equivalent in-house role that has enabled relevant network development. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic communications and public affairs experience, strong digital skills, and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and business growth. Experience in financial communications would be an advantage.

We offer real flexibility and the autonomy to manage your own time and priorities under senior direction. This is a genuine opportunity to be part of a senior team from day one - developing your professional skills while playing a meaningful role in growing a business.

You will get full support from our Partners and the opportunities you need to develop and progress. In return we expect you to bring drive, passion, discipline, and a results-oriented mindset.

The Role & Responsibilities

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
