We are recruiting a Director of Strategic Partnering, Commercial & Property for a large, complex and purpose-led organisation. This is a broad and influential senior leadership role with organisation-wide responsibility for strategic finance, business partnering, planning, commercial strategy and corporate property.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, you will play a central role in connecting strategy, financial performance and organisational priorities, ensuring senior leaders have the insight, challenge and commercial advice needed to make well-informed decisions.
The role
You will lead a multi-disciplinary portfolio spanning finance business partnering, budgeting and forecasting, business planning, performance insight, commercial contracts, supplier management and corporate property strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the organisation-wide budgeting, forecasting and medium-term financial planning processes
- Developing a high-quality finance business partnering model that provides insight, constructive challenge and practical support
- Connecting strategic priorities, resources, performance measures and financial plans
- Providing financial modelling, scenario analysis and decision support to senior leadership
- Leading the development of financial performance dashboards and Executive and Board reporting
- Setting standards for business cases, options appraisal, investment evaluation and benefits realisation
- Leading strategic contract and supplier management, including commercial negotiations and value-for-money activity
- Providing commercial leadership around corporate property and estate strategy
- Strengthening financial literacy and commercial capability across the organisation
- Leading and developing a high-performing multi-disciplinary team

About you
You will be a qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent – with substantial senior leadership experience within a complex organisation. You are likely to bring:
- Significant experience across strategic finance, FP&A, business partnering, planning and performance
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and scenario-planning experience
- A track record of influencing Executive and Board-level decision-making
- Strong commercial judgement, including business cases, investment appraisal and value-for-money analysis
- Experience leading and developing senior finance teams
- The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, practical recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to constructively challenge senior leaders
- A collaborative and commercially minded leadership style

Experience within a charity, regulated, group or similarly complex environment would be advantageous, as would exposure to strategic procurement, supplier management or property strategy.
