Confluence is looking for a senior strategic partnerships leader to help build and scale our partnerships organisation across the UK and Europe.
This is a newly created role and a unique opportunity to establish strategic relationships with the organisations that influence technology and operating model decisions across the investment management industry. Working across consultants, advisory firms, fund administrators, asset servicers, technology providers, and implementation partners, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Confluence's market presence and driving partner-influenced revenue growth.
Rather than inheriting an established programme, you'll help define our partnership strategy, shape engagement models, and build the foundations of a growing function. You'll work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Client Service teams while enjoying high visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to make a measurable impact on business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Confluence's strategic partnerships strategy across the UK and Europe.
- Build and manage relationships with consultants, advisory firms, fund administrators, asset servicers, technology providers, and implementation partners.
- Identify, structure, and launch referral, go-to-market, technology, and strategic partnership initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Client Service teams to increase partner-influenced pipeline and revenue opportunities.
- Represent Confluence at industry events, partner meetings, and executive-level discussions across the region.
- Maintain clear visibility of partnership activity, relationships, opportunities, and outcomes through Salesforce.

What skills and experience do I need to succeed?
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, consulting, business development, investment operations, asset servicing, or investment management technology.
- Established network across the UK and European investment management ecosystem.
- Strong relationships within the Luxembourg market and understanding of key market participants and influencers.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic partnerships that create commercial outcomes.
- Experience working with software ecosystem, integration, or distribution partners.
- Good understanding of investment operations, particularly middle and back-office functions.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Experience using Salesforce as a core business tool for relationship and pipeline management.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge of fund administration and asset servicing ecosystems.
- Experience across multiple European financial services markets.
- French language skills.
- Experience gained with a consultancy, competitor, software provider, fund administrator, or asset servicer.
