Director, Strategic Programs (NPI)

Oslo, London, Europe · Full-time

About Neat

Neat brings people together with beautifully simple, versatile video devices and experiences. By minimizing the physical and virtual divide, we enable everyone to feel more connected, present, and understood, however they prefer to work. We aim to make our technologies so intuitive that terms like "in-office" and "remote" will seem obsolete in five years. Neat's pioneering portfolio addresses the needs of today's workplace and natively supports Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google, and a range of compelling business apps.

We are an ambitious, accountable, collaborative, responsible, and growing team that fosters an environment where creativity and ingenuity can flourish. We strive to bring out the best in our Neaters and make amazing products and experiences. We are based in Oslo with Neaters working all over the world.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director, Strategic Programs to own new product introduction (NPI) and strategic cross-functional projects across our portfolio. Reporting to the VP Strategy & Operations, you will build and run the gate process that takes products from concept to launch, and act as the single point of ownership for program tracking, decision-making, and executive reporting.

Strategic program management is about turning ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives into structured execution — aligning stakeholders across the business, managing risk, and holding every workstream accountable to a date. It sits at the intersection of strategy and delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a hands-on role, as much about relationships as process. You will work closely with stakeholders and partners, staying close to the detail — following up with owners, helping clear blockers, and keeping programs moving toward a committed date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end new product introduction process, from concept through post-launch review
  • Build and maintain the gate calendar, schedule reviews, and hold the official record for every program
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing to align priorities and keep execution on track
  • Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives beyond NPI — from market entry to operating-model change — bringing structure and pace to ambiguous, high-impact projects
  • Chair the launch readiness and post-launch review gates
  • Own the readiness checklist and gate criteria
  • Manage intake and governance for strategic cross-functional projects, such as commercial model changes, systems migrations, partnerships, and market entry
  • Maintain a single portfolio view across all products and projects
  • Report portfolio health to the executive team and the board
  • Ensure programs and partners deliver on time, proactively surfacing risks and driving them to resolution
  • Operate hands-on — spend time with teams and partners directly, rather than managing the portfolio from behind a tracker
  • Represent Strategic Programs in leadership discussions, translating execution detail into clear business impact

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in hardware new product introduction, program management, or launch operations
  • Proven experience running a phase-gate or stage-gate process, not just working within one
  • Experience delivering cross-functional projects outside of product launches, such as commercial model changes, systems migrations, or partnerships
  • Experience managing external certification requirements as part of a launch process
  • Strong understanding of commercial fundamentals: margin, pricing, discounting, distribution, and channel management
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise executive summaries
  • Experience building or scaling a program management function at a company of a similar size (roughly a few hundred to 1,000 employees)
  • Comfortable working hands-on and without direct reports initially
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — able to influence, align, and drive accountability across functions and seniority levels, including with senior executives
  • A genuinely hands-on approach: comfortable chasing, following up, and personally driving outcomes, rather than just tracking them
  • Nice to have: Experience in video collaboration, audio-visual, or a related hardware category
