Client/Market Development

Be a trusted advisor to clients and partners representing The Hub in markets

Develop, update and deliver the Business Plan, for a clearly defined capability area

Be recognised as an industry expert in a technical or capability area, and continue to develop expertise

Build the brand and leverage industry position to represent The Hub

Grow client base and project portfolio base within existing client base, internationally

Represent The Hub in the market through coordinated marketing activity

Technical/capability leadership

Project Delivery

  • Demonstrate expertise and leadership in core consulting skills
  • Demonstrate mastery in selected capability areas
  • Demonstrate strategic problem solving and first-principles thinking to complex challenges
  • Undertake Project Director roles; take full command and accountability of client project delivery, managing issues as they arise and anticipating points of controversy
  • Lead teams on projects and proactively support teams to deliver high performance and develop themselves
  • Effective delegation of project work to team members
  • Champion quality assurance over project deliverables aligned to The Hub processes

Business Development

  • Develop new and existing relationships within markets
  • Target new revenue and new project work that leverages the wider team
  • Lead market-focussed business development activities; create new market opportunities and generate leads
  • Successfully convert leads to won projects
  • Contribute to development of Business Plan and be responsible for delivery of specific elements of BP
  • Lead market-focussed activities, such as conference attendance, thought leadership, attendance networking events

People

  • Be a role model and demonstrate leadership across all areas of the business
  • Role model The Hub’s culture, and values
  • Build trusted relationships with colleagues based on integrity and transparency
  • Develop self and others through effective mentoring relationships (and training where required)
  • Enable continuous learning for our people: drive people development, training and coaching, across all staff
  • Hold self and others accountable through setting clear objectives for staff
  • Contribute to recruitment activity in line with BP
  • Identify and attract delivery capability and capacity through associates and partners
  • Participate in formal staff appraisals and moderation
  • Contribute to people management activities through SLT activities

Operations

  • Proactively address business issues and continuously improve existing processes
  • Identify areas for innovation and change agility
  • Accountable for excellent project management, either performed directly or through delegation
  • Demonstrate deep technical and commercial expertise and lead a business/capability area including all related operational management
  • Accountable for quality control processes in delivery
  • Active involvement in Business Development operations
  • Champion existing procedures and embrace delivery systems
  • Resolve issues through SLT management meetings

Commercial

  • Accountable for new revenue generation, commensurate to Director role as above
  • Responsibility for business initiatives and processes
  • Accountable for workload and workshare across the business
  • Accountable for project economics to deliver target margins
  • Accountable for business-wide commercial performance
  • Accountable for delivery of other Business Plan targets
