As Director, Strategic Workforce Planning, you will be responsible for translating business strategy into workforce strategy, enabling leaders to make informed decisions about workforce size, shape, skills, location, productivity and investment. You will create the frameworks, methodologies, governance and capabilities that connect workforce planning, talent strategy, organisation design, skills, finance and business planning into a single integrated approach.

Working closely with Executive leadership, Finance, Business Leaders, Engineering and the broader People Function, you will lead the development of a leading workforce planning capability that supports both short-term operational planning and long-term strategic workforce transformation.

This role will act as the enterprise authority for workforce planning and workforce intelligence, driving the adoption of data-driven workforce decisions across a global organisation of more than 38,000 employees and external workers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Define and lead LSEG's enterprise Strategic Workforce Planning strategy and roadmap.

  • Develop multi-year workforce scenarios to support strategic decision making.
  • Lead workforce demand, supply, capability and capacity planning across divisions and functions.
  • Establish planning methodologies, standards and governance that can be adopted consistently across the organisation.
  • Drive workforce-based decisions regarding growth, restructuring, location strategy and investment priorities.
  • Roll out and evolve our Operational Workforce Planning foundational capability.
  • Own the evolution of enterprise workforce planning capabilities and supporting technologies.
  • Partner with Engineering, Finance and HR teams to optimise planning processes and data flows.
  • Drive adoption of workforce planning platforms including Workday Adaptive Planning and workforce analytics solutions such as Visier.
  • Ensure workforce plans are embedded into annual planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of planning capabilities through technology, automation and AI-enabled insights.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
