Director, Strategy – EY-Parthenon, London

At EY-Parthenon, our unique combination of transformative strategy, transactions, tax and corporate finance delivers real-world value – solutions that work in practice, not just on paper. Benefiting from EY’s full spectrum of services, we’ve reimagined strategic consulting to align with a world increasingly complex.

The EY-Parthenon Financial Services (FS) Strategy team is expanding its team and seeking Directors capable of building on their strategic and commercial experience to spearhead diverse, high-impact projects for both blue-chip and entrepreneurial clients.

About the Role

Working with a spectrum of Financial Services clients (including banks, insurers, payments providers, wealth/asset managers, and FinTechs), the role involves:

  • Guiding clients through strategy development (e.g., growth, product strategies, market entry).
  • Advising corporate and private equity clients on FS-specific investments, acquisitions, and divestments.

The Financial Services sector — characterised by regulatory shifts, new entrants, digitisation, and evolving customer behaviour — offers an exciting environment for those with relevant expertise.

Key Responsibilities

As a Director, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Project Leadership
    • Managing multiple teams (4–10 consultants) and steering large client engagements.
    • Developing inclusive, high-performing cultures across teams.
    • Overseeing team risk, independence, objectivity, and compliance with EY policies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
