The Role
We are looking for a Director, Strategy & Projects (People) to take on some of the most complex and important challenges facing Nscale as we scale.
You will turn ambiguous problems into clear plans, move quickly from strategy to execution, and build solutions that materially improve how the organisation operates. From shipping AI-enabled People products to integrating acquisitions and redesigning organisations, the focus is on solving hard problems and delivering meaningful outcomes at pace.
The remit is intentionally broad and will evolve with the business. You will work closely with senior leaders across Nscale, challenge thinking, navigate complexity and bring together the right people to get things done.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and ship AI-enabled People products
- Build and ship AI-enabled products that improve the experience of employees and managers and make our teams more effective.
- Move quickly from idea to prototype, launch and iteration, working closely with Engineering and other teams.
- Rethink how work gets done, using AI and automation to simplify or replace manual processes.
- Turn complex problems into clear priorities, decisions and action.
- Lead M&A and organisational transformation
- Lead People integration across acquisitions, from due diligence and integration planning through post-close execution.
- Design organisations, roles and operating models as Nscale grows.
- Lead workforce planning for acquisitions and major organisational change.
- Work across People, Finance, Legal and the business to deliver integrations and transformation.
- Lead strategic projects
- Take on high-priority projects that cut across teams and functions.
- Work directly with senior leaders to define problems, evaluate options and turn decisions into action.
- Bring together the right teams and expertise to deliver.
- Move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

About you
You’ll bring
- Significant experience leading company-wide transformation end-to-end, from strategy through implementation and adoption.
- A track record of building and shipping AI-enabled products, automations or workflows for employees, managers or internal teams.
- Hands-on M&A and integration experience, from due diligence through post-close execution.
- Experience designing and implementing organisation structures and operating models through significant growth or change.
- Experience working directly with senior executives on major company priorities, with accountability for delivery.

Nice to have
- Experience scaling a high-growth technology company.
- A background in strategy or management consulting, combined with hands-on operating experience.
