About Zapp
Zapp is London's leading premium convenience retail platform. Founded in 2020, our vision is to disrupt the multi-trillion dollar convenience retail market, currently dominated by major players, by developing best-in-class customer-centric technology and fulfilment solutions. Zapp partners with some of the world's leading brands to deliver an exclusive range of hand-picked products 24/7, delivered in minutes.
The Role
We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain to build the engine behind Zapp's growth: a supply chain that gets faster, smarter and more automated as we scale, not one that just keeps pace with it. You will own Zeppelin, our forecasting and automation platform, and push it further so availability keeps climbing while the team's manual workload keeps falling. Everything ties back to the customer: they judge us on whether the order they wanted was there, on time, every time.
This is a role for someone who wants to build, not just run. You will set the long-term automation agenda, back yourself to remove whole categories of work rather than get better at doing them, and use that headroom to take on more scope over time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Here's What You'd Be Doing
- Build and run a Supply Chain team engineered to scale with Zapp's growth, not headcount.
- Set the targets that matter: define the KPIs and goals the function is measured against, and hold the team accountable to them quarter after quarter.
- Own and push Zeppelin further: reorder logic, cover targets, safety stock and FC allocation, a model that gets smarter every quarter.
- Set the automation agenda that keeps reducing manual, repetitive work across Supply Chain, freeing the team to spend more time on what grows the business.
- Get into the detail and turn it into an edge: know the SKUs, suppliers and routes worth the next hour of your time, and back that judgement with a plan.
- Set the availability and waste strategy for the catalogue, engineering both to best-in-class levels as the range grows.
- Buy smarter: use forecasting and negotiation together to maximise margin and optimise working capital, holding stock cover and payment terms to a standard that funds growth rather than ties up cash.
- Stay customer obsessed in everything you do: treat availability, waste and cost as things that matter because a real customer is waiting on the other end, not just because a dashboard says so.
- Partner with Commercial, Tech and Finance to make Supply Chain a reason Zapp can range, launch and grow faster than anyone else in London.

- Strong stakeholder management across Commercial, Tech, Ops and Finance.
