At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence. We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

Join our fast-growing Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) team as a Director in the Direct Tax and Tax Accounting team in our Global CoE.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of Direct Tax and Tax Accounting within EY's Global Tax CoE. You will work with some of the world's largest multinational organisations, helping them respond to increasing regulatory complexity, evolving tax operating models and the growing demand for technology-enabled tax functions.

As a Director, you will build and lead strategic client relationships, drive growth across a portfolio of global accounts and act as a trusted advisor to senior tax and finance stakeholders. You will bring together EY's capabilities across tax, technology and transformation to help clients reimagine how tax functions operate, leveraging data, AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency, insight and value.

Your portfolio will span Direct Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting engagements. You will lead complex multi-country programmes, develop new market opportunities and help define the strategic direction of the team.

The Global Tax CoE exists to enable the execution of EY's "All In" strategy and accelerate the Tax "Paradigm Shift". It is where we incubate emerging solutions, operate our most complex deals and innovate through our market-leading luminaries.

Through the Global Tax CoE, we are not only powering exceptional delivery, but we are also building the infrastructure to deliver on EY Tax's ambition: to be the transformation partner of choice for clients navigating complexity, regulation and opportunity.

This is a particularly exciting time to join our team as tax functions continue to evolve. Clients increasingly expect their advisors to deliver not only compliance outcomes, but also strategic insight, technology enablement and operational transformation. As a Director, you will play a key role in shaping EY's response to this market opportunity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
