We are seeking an accomplished Transformation Director to join our Insurance Technology Consulting practice and play a pivotal role in shaping, selling, and delivering technology-enabled business transformations for insurance clients.
This is a leadership role at the intersection of insurance domain expertise, technology programme delivery, and business development. The successful candidate is a technologist at heart who has grown into a trusted transformation leader. They can credibly shape a proposition, win the work in front of a C-suite audience, stand up a complex programme, and stay close enough to delivery to keep it on track.
You will help insurers set up and deliver transformation programmes across the value chain, from core platform modernisation to data and digital transformation, spanning Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, Reserving, Capital Modelling, and Risk & Finance.
This is a UK-based role with a global remit, supporting client engagements, proposition development, and delivery initiatives across multiple geographies.
This is an ideal opportunity for a senior consulting or industry professional who has set up and run large technology programmes end-to-end, across the full lifecycle from proposition and sale to delivery.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
Sell Consulting Engagements Primary Focus
- Lead and support pre-sales activities, structuring compelling, commercially attractive, and pragmatic transformation solutions for insurance clients.
- Partner with clients and consulting teams to understand business challenges and define credible, deliverable programme approaches.
- Bring gravitas and presence in front of C-suite and executive stakeholders, talking credibly about how technology programmes are set up, governed, and delivered.
- Develop proposals and solution narratives that articulate business value, delivery approach, cost, risk, and ROI.
- Own and convert multi-million-pound pursuits from proposition through mobilisation, with clear accountability for sales and revenue growth.
Deliver Transformation Programmes Primary Focus
- Provide delivery leadership across complex, multi-workstream insurance transformation programmes, owning mobilisation, governance, delivery approach, and outcomes.
- Set up programmes for success: shape target operating models, delivery roadmaps, resourcing, vendor/SI arrangements, and governance structures.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams (business, architecture, engineering, change) through delivery, staying close enough to spot and resolve risk early.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, resilience, scalability, and compliance, and that benefits are realised.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
