Senior Director, GSINC Legal & Risk Lead

Job Overview

We are searching for top talent for the Director, GSINC Legal Template Transformation role within the Global Simplification and Innovation in Contracting program, GSINC!

Do you seek big, complex, and ambiguous challenges? Are you passionate about transforming enterprise contracting through simplified processes, modern technology, intelligent data, and responsible AI? Do you want to help build a capability that improves how Johnson & Johnson works with its employees, suppliers, customers, healthcare professionals, research partners, and other stakeholders?

GSINC is building an integrated, AI-enabled contracting capability designed to make contracting faster, simpler, more consistent, and more valuable to the enterprise! The program brings together process, policy, templates, technology, data, and intelligence to establish a scalable contracting foundation across Johnson & Johnson.

The Director owns the global strategy and execution for simplifying, governing, and implementing contract templates, clauses, fallback positions, and playbooks. The role translates approved legal strategy and risk parameters into scalable, user-centered content that preserves critical protections while improving consistency, speed, and readiness for technology, data, automation, and AI.

Operating with significant autonomy and enterprise visibility, the Director leads cross-functional delivery from drafting and approval through localization, deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement. The role resolves issues within delegated authority and escalates material changes to legal position, policy, risk tolerance, or enterprise standards with clear recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global legal template transformation roadmap, priorities, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead the assessment, consolidation, simplification, drafting, validation, and approval of templates, clauses, fallback positions, playbooks, exhibits, and guidance.
  • Set plain-language, user-centered content standards that maintain legal and compliance protections while reducing complexity, negotiation friction, critical issues, and cycle time.
  • Steward consistent legal positions and risk treatment; challenge legacy approaches, decide within delegated authority, and frame material issues for senior leaders.
  • Lead localization of globally neutral content, limiting variation to approved legal or operational requirements.
  • Build the end-to-end operating model, including intake, simplification, taxonomy, roles, handoffs, maintenance, and supporting tools.
  • Establish governance for ownership, version control, approvals, exceptions, review cycles, releases, and retirement.
  • Sponsor implementation planning, stakeholder alignment, validation, testing, deployment readiness, and resolution of strategic risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Define and report workstream measures for progress, adoption, simplification, cycle time, quality, risk, partner experience, and realized value.
  • Partner on training, communications, adoption, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
  • Build alignment across Legal, business, contracting, Technology, and enabling functions; secure decisions and resources.
  • Lead assigned team members and partners, with clear roles, expectations, accountability, and capacity plans.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
