About the Company
MVA International is partnering with a leading global financial advisory firm to appoint a Director within its Accounting & Financial Reporting Advisory practice in London.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership and growth role for an established transaction advisory professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a proven ability to originate business and develop senior client relationships. The successful individual will work closely with private equity sponsors, corporates, investment banks and financial institutions, advising on complex transactions while helping to further grow and develop the practice.
Responsibilities
- Originate and win significant new advisory mandates across PE, corporate and financial institution clients
- Develop long-term relationships with C-suite executives, boards, investors and sponsors
- Lead complex engagements involving M&A, IPOs, carve-outs, capital markets transactions, restructurings and debt financings
- Provide senior commercial and technical oversight across major client engagements
- Work alongside Transaction Services, Valuations, Restructuring and Corporate Finance teams
- Recruit, mentor and develop high-performing advisory professionals
- Take ownership of revenue growth, profitability and continued expansion of the practice

Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience within Transaction Advisory, Accounting Advisory or Capital Markets Advisory
- Significant experience within a Big Four or leading global advisory firm
- ACA, CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrable track record of originating and winning advisory mandates
- Established relationships across the private equity, investment banking and corporate communities
- Experience leading complex domestic and cross-border transactions
- Strong technical knowledge across areas including IFRS / US GAAP, business combinations, IPO readiness, carve-outs, pro forma reporting and purchase price accounting
