About The Role
The Transaction Services team at FTI Consulting offer a forward-looking perspective to the fast-paced European and global transactions market. Whether representing buyers or sellers, we offer a comprehensive financial due diligence service leading to value-related advice and hands-on support across a full spectrum of industries.
What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Director level candidate with significant 4-6 years post-Qualification TS experience to join our London based Transaction Services team.
- Analysis and modelling of financial performance (past and future) of an acquisition target
- Overall lead responsibility for delivery of mid-size complex projects (direct with Partner) or responsibility for standalone divisions / sections of FDD on larger projects (this will include buy or sell side, refinancing, financial restructuring and equity raising transactions)
- Direct communication with the clients on key issues relating to the FDD engagement
- Direct communication and liaisons with M&A bankers, commercial advisors, lawyers, financing providers, W&I insurers and other relevant parties to the M&A process on appropriate presentation and impact of diligence findings
- Supervision and mentoring of Seniors Consultants and Consultants, taking full responsibility for review of their analysis / sections and being accountable for their output
- Identification of key value drivers, SPA price adjustments, and deal breakers
- Full responsibility in preparation of the Equity Bridge and all the corresponding price adjustments
- Business development including regular client catch ups, identification of target opportunities and keeping on top of industry and M&A developments in the market
- Effective communication with senior members of the team and clients
- Proactive development of internal and external relationships

What You Will Need to Succeed
- Previous significant transaction services consulting experience working within one of the ‘Big 4’
- Relevant transaction services experience, consulting either with private equity or venture funds with deals in excess of $100m
- Transaction experience to include due diligence, market entry, financial restructuring, independent business review and business plan validation
- Experience in identification of key deal financial and commercial issues
- Demonstrable experience in leading the delivery of large complex, multi geography transactions, presentation of findings to senior stakeholders including PE investors and lenders and assisting with transaction negotiations with lawyers and investment bankers across EMEA and globally
- Experience in leading, managing and mentoring teams
- Private equity experience (preferred)
- European languages (preferred)
Basic Qualifications
- 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a numeric subject from a top tier university
- ACA, MBA or MBA equivalent
