Description

At Xe, we live currencies. We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.

About This Role

To lead XE's Wallet & Card program strategy, delivery, and growth, serving as the end-to-end project and business sponsor for the program across all regions where XE operates. This role has primary responsibility for the UK and EU region, while also driving further geographic expansion of the program. The role works closely with Product, Technology, Compliance, Operations, Finance, and Support teams to ensure smooth post go-live activities and to lead growth initiatives in partnership with key stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the project and business sponsor for XE's Wallet & Card program, owning end-to-end delivery across all regions where XE operates.
  • Take primary ownership of the UK and EU card program, from strategy and launch through steady-state operations, while identifying and driving expansion into new regions.
  • Partner closely with Product and Technology teams to define requirements, prioritize the roadmap, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of card program features and enhancements.
  • Work with Operations and Support teams to ensure smooth, well-governed post go-live operations, including issue resolution, service levels, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage program budget, profitability, and business case tracking for the card program.
  • Lead engagement with card issuing partners, program managers, card schemes (Visa/Mastercard), and other third-party vendors to ensure compliant and seamless program delivery.
  • Drive growth initiatives for the card program in partnership with Marketing, Sales, and regional stakeholders, identifying opportunities to increase adoption, usage, and revenue.
  • Define and track KPIs for program performance, using data and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the program's compliance with local regulatory requirements across the UK, EU, and other regions of expansion.
  • Serve as the key point of escalation and alignment across cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Operations, Finance, Support, Compliance/Legal) for all card program matters.
  • Build and present regular updates on program status, risks, and growth opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in product/program management or leadership roles within digital payments, card issuing, wallets, or fintech.
