Director, Workday Integrity & Continuous Improvement – EMEA
Role Overview
The Director, Workday Integrity & Continuous Improvement – EMEA is responsible for supporting Workday governance, process optimization, information integrity, and continuous improvement across the EMEA region.
This role partners with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Shared Services, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday processes, data, and controls are effective, compliant, and scalable. The Director focuses on improving operational effectiveness through governance, standardization, adoption of Workday functionality, data quality management, and process improvement initiatives.
The role supports business and system changes, acquisitions, divestitures, and ongoing enhancement activities while helping ensure regional requirements align with global standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Workday Governance, Integrity & Compliance
- Partner with global HR Systems and regional stakeholders to support alignment with Workday governance standards, policies, and priorities.
- Support and oversee Workday governance, information integrity, stewardship, and compliance activities across the region.
- Establish and monitor processes that improve data accuracy, consistency, reliability, and accountability across Workday and connected systems.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, regional employment regulations, and internal governance requirements.
- Promote standardization and scalable solutions while supporting local business and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor key data quality and operational metrics and coordinate corrective actions when issues are identified.
Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Identify, prioritize, and support Workday optimization and continuous improvement opportunities across the region.
- Evaluate and implement enhancements to Workday capabilities, business processes, and governance practices, including automation and AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
- Partner with stakeholders to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve end-to-end HR processes.
- Support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, user experience, controls, and information integrity.
- Analyze recurring process and support issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Establish and share best practices to improve consistency and effectiveness across countries and business units.

Workday Operations, Enhancements & Change Initiatives
- Partner with global HR Systems teams to evaluate, prioritize, and deliver Workday enhancements and releases.
- Coordinate and support regional impact assessments, testing, deployment, adoption, and transition-to-support activities.
- Act as an escalation point for complex Workday issues involving business processes, integrations, security, reporting, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Support Workday-related initiatives, including acquisitions, divestitures, country deployments, reorganizations, and other business change initiatives.
- Ensure configuration and process changes appropriately balance regional business requirements with global standards.
- Oversee operational readiness activities and stakeholder engagement for significant Workday changes.
Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team focused on Workday governance, information integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, Shared Services, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in governance forums and prioritization discussions to support operational and business needs.
- Support the adoption of standardized processes and effective change management practices across the region.
- Communicate risks, issues, priorities, and recommendations to stakeholders while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a service-oriented culture focused on operational excellence and effective stakeholder support.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in HR Technology, HRIS, Workday, analytics, governance, or operational excellence.
- 4+ years of leadership experience managing HR Systems teams and programs.
- Advanced Workday expertise.
- Experience supporting multi-country HR operations within a complex multinational organization.
- Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, privacy requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience operating within a federated global organization balancing global standards with local regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility to work across global time zones and support a geographically dispersed stakeholder community, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of regional and global initiatives.

Preferred
- Workday certification(s) or advanced Workday training.
- Experience supporting Workday implementations, acquisitions, divestitures, and business change initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR process improvement methodologies and automation technologies.
- Additional European language proficiency.
