About the Role
The Short Breaks Team currently supports over 4,000 children with disabilities aged 5–17, and we are seeking two full-time Disability Services Access Coordinators.
Families self-refer to our service, and we receive over 100 new applications every month, alongside reviewing each child’s Short Break Plan annually. - Work directly with families where support arrangements are not meeting need
- Resolve concerns or complaints linked to commissioned services
- Monitor allocated commissioned providers and report on contract performance
- Identify gaps in service delivery and contribute to service improvement

- Analyse data and support performance reporting across the service
You will need to enjoy working as part of a team, be able to prioritise a busy workload, and respond flexibly to the needs of the service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
