Job Description

Our purpose is to bring together people, energy and markets to power and navigate a changing world. In a time of constant change and possibility we need new talent to pursue commercial opportunities, fuelled by world-class insight and expertise. We’re always striving for more innovative digital solutions, sustainable outcomes and closer collaboration across our company and beyond, and you could be part of that too.

About the Role

As a Discipline Advisor – Partnerships Excellence, you will lead and coordinate the partnership programme, helping to maximise the value generated through bp’s strategic partnerships. Working closely with procurement teams, business collaborators, and external partners, you will help bring partnerships to life and support initiatives that drive growth, innovation, cost optimisation, and supply chain resilience.

About the Team

The Partnerships Excellence team is at the forefront of bp’s transformation from traditional supplier management to value-driven strategic partnerships. Our mission is to strengthen bp’s global supply chain through targeted collaborations that create sustainable, long-term value for both bp and its partners.

As a team, we manage a growing portfolio of supplier partnerships that drive business growth, foster innovation, deliver cost efficiencies, and enhance security of supply. We play a pivotal role in shifting the organisation’s perspective from simply managing suppliers to building meaningful, collaborative partnerships. Central to this is our Partnership Playbook, which provides the frameworks, tools, and best practices needed to establish and nurture successful partnerships with consistency, speed, and structure.

Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the partnership program
    • Lead the preparation and quality assurance of partnership updates for the Procurement Leadership Team, translating complex partnership activity into clear and impactful reporting.
    • Build and maintain strong partnership communities and forums to identify emerging opportunities and create space to share learnings, raise challenges and shape future capability-building activity.
    • Develop and execute multi-channel engagement strategies that showcase partnerships success, and drive adoption of partnership tools and resources
    • Build strong, transparent and trust-based relationships with Procurement leads and wider business partners
    • Coordinate quarterly value assurance calls with Procurement Leads to assess pipeline health, verify reporting accuracy and align on next steps.
    • Maintain PID dashboard data quality by validating programme linkages, confirming opportunity identifiers, and addressing reporting anomalies and gaps
    • Manage, enhance and champion the Partnerships center of excellence as the central repository for partnership guidance, tools, learning, and best practice.
    • Create, maintain and deploy onboarding materials for Procurement Leads
    • Develop training and communications to embed a partnership attitude

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
