Job Description

Discover: Behind the Scenes

Duration: 4 days, 27th - 30th October 2026

Location: Derby (Learning & Development Centre)

We are re-opening applications specifically for those with interest in business-aligned roles and careers (e.g. project management, business management, finance)

We have some spaces left for our October Behind-the-Scenes in Derby, and are particularly looking for students with an interest in business-aligned roles and careers, such as project management, business management, finance etc.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Explore behind-the-scenes at Rolls-Royce, finding out more about how a global organisation works and what it takes to make our work happen
  • Build future-ready skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving and professional confidence
  • Collaborate on a team project, from initial challenge to final professional presentation
  • Experience real-world engineering and innovation through hands-on activities, model engines and interactive tech
  • Connect with current apprentices through networking sessions and Q&As
  • Strengthen your employability with workshops focused on applications, personal development and apprenticeships at Rolls-Royce

Who can apply?

We’re looking for passionate, motivated students who will be in Year 13 as of September 2026 (new academic year) to be part of this opportunity.

To take part, you’ll need to:

  • Be able to commit to all 4 days of the programme (including travel if you’re not local to site)
  • Complete the ‘Future Ready Skills’ module on our virtual work experience platform, Discover: On Demand
  • If selected, provide permission from your school or college confirming you’re able to attend
