Disease Paralegal - Training Contract Opportunity

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE INDUSTRIAL DISEASE EXPERIENCE WITHIN A LAW FIRM AND HAVE COMPLETED THE LPC AND SQE.

Location: Cardiff / South Wales Hybrid

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time

Training Contract: Available for the right candidate

Are you a driven Paralegal looking to build a long-term career in industrial disease litigation?

We are working with an established and highly regarded law firm with a strong presence across Cardiff and South Wales, which is looking to recruit a Disease Paralegal with the potential to progress onto a Training Contract for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial disease Paralegal who has completed the LPC and SQE and is looking to take the next step towards qualification.

The Role

You will support the wider litigation team in managing a caseload of industrial disease claims, working alongside experienced Solicitors and gaining exposure to all stages of the litigation process. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and assisting with a caseload of industrial disease claims.
  • Taking instructions from clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Conducting legal and factual research.
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation.
  • Liaising with medical experts, counsel, insurers, and other third parties.
  • Assisting with the preparation and progression of claims.
  • Reviewing and analysing medical and employment records.
  • Supporting Solicitors with case preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant files.
  • Developing your legal knowledge and taking on increasing responsibility.

Training Contract Opportunity

The firm is committed to investing in its people and, for the right candidate, this position offers a genuine pathway towards a Training Contract and qualification as a Solicitor. You will receive structured training and support from experienced lawyers while continuing to develop your specialist knowledge of industrial disease litigation.

About You

The successful candidate must have:

  • Previous industrial disease experience within a law firm.
  • Completed the LPC and SQE.
  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in industrial disease litigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills.
  • A client-focused approach.
  • The ambition to progress towards qualification as a Solicitor.
