About the Role

A Gator’s Dockside Dishwasher or Utility Person is responsible for keeping and maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the dish washing area as well as areas relating to trash and refuse collection or disposal.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of all managers and is responsible for knowing all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook and any training manuals or documents produced for such purposes.
  • Interact with management, as well as all hourly employees in a friendly and non-coercive manner to carry out their assigned duties and provide each guest with the ultimate dining experience.
  • Properly clean and sanitize food service materials including but not limited to:
    • Plates
    • Silverware
    • Pots
    • Pans
    • Spoons
    • Knives
    • Whisks
    • Spatulas
    • Mixing bowls
    • Prep equipment
    • Cutting boards
    • Baskets
    • Tongs
    • Any other item which may be cleaned by use of a three sink station and/or a mechanical dish washing machine.
  • Communicate any malfunction in equipment as well as any unsafe or unsanitary area, equipment, service utensil, mechanism, device, or component of the restaurant directly to members of management including the Kitchen Manager, Assistant Managers and the General Manager.
  • Receive projects for cleaning and/or organization and complete them in a timely manner according to all specifications and business demands set forth by management.
  • Be utilized as prep cooks during slower times of business and responsible for knowing specific duties relating to the preparation of foods according to the guidelines in training manuals as outlined by the corporate office and expected to retain a current food safety certification.
