About the Role
As a Dispatch Assistant at Origin Coffee you'll play a vital part in ensuring every order leaves The Roastery accurately, safely and on time. Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, you'll use our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to process customer orders, maintain stock accuracy, and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the dispatch function. What You'll Do
Order Fulfilment
- Process and manage customer orders using our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Create shipments, generate courier labels, and maintain accurate dispatch records.
- Monitor order queues, back orders, and exceptions to support on-time despatch.
- Ensure system accuracy through careful attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders to the highest quality standards.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across the roastery to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Support the Dispatch Team Leader in prioritising workloads and maintaining an efficient operation.
- Build strong working relationships with Customer Service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-focused working environment.
Stock Management
- Carry out routine stock checks and inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records.
- Support the organisation and movement of stock within the warehouse.
- Report and investigate stock discrepancies, helping to maintain stock integrity and availability.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Stock Coordinator to ensure best stock management practices are followed.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and support the implementation of solutions.
- Contribute ideas that improve processes, efficiency, accuracy, and ways of working.

What You'll Bring
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when processing orders.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse or operational environment.
- Confidence using technology and learning new systems and processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and quality.
- Physical capability to undertake regular lifting, moving, and handling of stock throughout the working day.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or fulfilment environment.
- Experience using warehouse management, inventory, or order processing systems.
- Familiarity with courier platforms and shipping processes.
- Forklift or pallet stacker certification, or a willingness to undertake training.
- Understanding of stock control and inventory management processes.
