We have a brand-new and exciting opportunity for a Dispatch Coordinator, to join our busy stores team based at our state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility in Basingstoke.

The Role

As Dispatch Coordinator, you will ensure customer and internal orders are accurately prepared, documented and dispatched on time.

Key duties:

  • Creating accurate pick lists from approved customer orders and Transfer Order requests.
  • Picking, checking, packing and labelling goods accurately, ensuring product codes, batch or serial details, quantities and destinations match the relevant documentation.
  • Preparing orders for dispatch in line with carrier, customer, export and site requirements.
  • Booking collections and deliveries with approved freight carriers, selecting the correct service in accordance with delivery deadlines and agreed procedures.
  • Producing and checking dispatch paperwork, including delivery notes, packing lists, carrier labels, consignment notes and other required shipping documents.
  • Tracking consignments, communicating delays or exceptions promptly and support proof-of-delivery requests.
  • Carrying out final dispatch checks and escalate discrepancies before goods leave the site.

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Previous warehouse/dispatch experience
  • Previous logistics experience
  • Confident in using warehouse ERP systems
  • Competent with MS packages
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Positive, proactive attitude
  • Customer focused
