Dispatch Manager – £40k – Mon-Fri – South London
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Pastry Chef looking to step away from the heat of the stove while keeping your valuable culinary expertise at the heart of what you do? One of London’s leading events caterers is seeking a Dispatch Manager to join their team. Working alongside an experienced Kitchen Management team, you will oversee the logistics of packing all Pastry elements for high-profile events directly from their production hub in South London.

- You understand how delicate prep, garnishes, and multi-component dishes need to be stored and packed so they arrive at venues in perfect condition.
- With your kitchen background, you instinctively read complex load lists, understand allergen separation, and manage temperature sensitivity far better than a standard warehouse manager.
- You speak the same language as the Executive Chef and production brigade, effortlessly bridging the gap between kitchen output and venue logistics.

The Requirements
- Background: An experienced chef (Pastry Chef, Pastry Head Chef, or BOH Manager) looking to transition into operational logistics within hospitality.
- Logistical Skillset: Highly organized with an eye for detail when packing, labeling, and cross-checking culinary elements for diverse event setups.
- Leadership & Drive: A proactive, clear communicator capable of collaborating closely with kitchen management to ensure accurate and on-time dispatch every day.
