Position: Dispatcher
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time
Shift Time: 18:00 – 24:00
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Job Role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in coordinating patient transport, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely communication between staff and services. You will play a key role in supporting patient care by keeping operations efficient and responsive.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for patient transport and medical deliveries
- Monitor schedules and adjust assignments to meet urgent operational needs
- Act as the main communication point between drivers, clinical staff, and management
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, timings, and service requests
- Ensure compliance with NHS and UTC operational policies
- Handle urgent calls and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
- Support smooth day-to-day transport and operational activities

Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or healthcare coordination preferred
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- IT literacy and basic knowledge of scheduling software or databases
- Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
