Position: Dispatcher

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

Shift Time: 18:00 – 24:00

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Job Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in coordinating patient transport, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely communication between staff and services. You will play a key role in supporting patient care by keeping operations efficient and responsive.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers for patient transport and medical deliveries
  • Monitor schedules and adjust assignments to meet urgent operational needs
  • Act as the main communication point between drivers, clinical staff, and management
  • Maintain accurate records of journeys, timings, and service requests
  • Ensure compliance with NHS and UTC operational policies
  • Handle urgent calls and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
  • Support smooth day-to-day transport and operational activities

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or healthcare coordination preferred
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • IT literacy and basic knowledge of scheduling software or databases
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
