Dispensing Associate (Assistant)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Work Pattern: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week
Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
    Flexible working patterns may be considered where required.

Summary of Role

We're looking for a Dispensing Associate (Assistant) to join our pharmacy team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, has good attention to detail, and enjoys working as part of a team. While previous pharmacy or dispensing experience would be beneficial, full training will be provided. For the right candidate, there will be the opportunity to progress onto an Accuracy Checking qualification, with full training and support provided, offering a clear pathway for career development within the business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions
  • Pick, pack, and label medication accurately
  • Help manage stock and replenish products when required
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Support the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks
  • Ensure patient information is handled confidentially
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant
  • Provide excellent customer service where required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous pharmacy or dispensing experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience in a customer service, warehouse, retail, or healthcare environment would be advantageous
  • Full training will be provided
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths are desirable
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role

Desirable

  • Interest in pursuing a career within pharmacy services
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of prescription dispensing processes
  • Pharmacy-related qualifications or training
