Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time and full-time opportunities (Minimum 18.5 Maximum 37.5 hours)
Location: West Lothian
Salary: £29K-33K FTE based on experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Dispensing Optician to join our expanding, patient-focused team at Wallace Opticians, which has successfully served the Whitburn community for over 55 years.
You will be a valued and important member of our friendly team. We pride ourselves on prioritising high-quality patient care within our well-established independent practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering a high level of patient care and tailored dispensing
- Building relationships with patients and offering a personalised service
- Uphold the highest standard of patient care, prioritising patient comfort and trust
- Work collaboratively with our supportive practice team to surpass patient expectations
- Providing expert advice on frame styling, lens options and other vision solutions
- Engage in continuous professional development to remain at the forefront of the field
- Taking an active role in helping to develop the rest of the team and overseeing dispensing standards
What We Need You to Bring to Our Team
- We’re looking for a Dispensing Optician who is confident, compassionate, and always focused on doing the right thing for patients
- GOC registered
- Intent to develop leadership qualities including excellent communication and organisation skills
- Ability to manage your time effectively
- Values building positive professional relationships with colleagues and patients
- Excellent product knowledge and a keen eye for style!
