Are you looking for a role where your work directly contributes to safer, better patient care?
Join our Pharmacy Production team and play a vital part in ensuring patients receive high-quality, safe, and appropriately prepared medicines.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a committed and skilled team dedicated to maximising the availability of safe, appropriate medication to support excellent patient care.
Please note, this is NOT a Pharmacy Dispensing role.
You will work across three key areas within Pharmacy Production:
Aseptic Dispensing Unit
Your primary focus will be within our Aseptic Dispensing Unit, where you will assemble and prepare patient-specific injectable medications for clinics and wards throughout the Trust. You will work within a Pharmacy clean room, wearing specialist clothing and prepare medications inside a pharmaceutical isolator.
Quality Control Department
You will be trained and validated to support the Quality Control team, carrying out essential checks on unlicensed medicines and products labelled in our Pre-packing Unit.
Pre-packing Unit
You will also be validated to work within the Pre-packing Unit, labelling bulk quantities of medicines for both internal and external Trust customers, as well as picking and accuracy-checking orders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS-run hospital in the East Midlands.
