11923 – 42.50 hour Dispensing Technician – Permanent Contract

We are looking to recruit a 42.50 hour Dispensing Technician to work at our 734 branch located at Hume Street Medical Centre, Hume Street, Kidderminster, DY11 6SF.

The proposed shift pattern is as follows:

  • Monday 09:00-18:00 (30 min unpaid break)
  • Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (30 min unpaid break)
  • Wednesday 09:00 -18:00 (30 min unpaid break)
  • Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (30 min unpaid break)
  • Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (30 min unpaid break)

As a Dispensing Technician you will have successfully completed the NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have the knowledge and experience to be a multi-skilled Dispensing Technician, taking responsibility for providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for carrying out dispensing duties.

You will be a senior member of the dispensing team and will be responsible for receiving, assembling and dispensing prescriptions, advising customers on alternative medicine or care needs where appropriate. You will also have specific accountability for dealing with complex medication enquiries on behalf of and under the supervision of a pharmacist.
