Dispute Resolution Associate / Senior Associate (3–6 PQE) | South West London | Property, Debt Recovery & Insolvency

Are you a Dispute Resolution Solicitor looking to develop your career within a highly regarded South West London practice, with exposure to a broad range of civil and commercial disputes?

This is an excellent opportunity for a 3–6 PQE Associate or Senior Associate to join an established Dispute Resolution team, handling a varied generalist caseload with a particular focus on property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency.

This is a thriving South West London law firm with offices in Wimbledon and Epsom, advising businesses and individuals across a broad range of legal matters.

The firm has built a strong reputation for providing a friendly, professional and proactive service, with clients across South West London, Surrey, the wider UK and overseas.

Its approach is centred on practical, commercially focused advice and long-term client relationships. Lawyers are encouraged to take ownership of their matters, work closely with clients and develop their expertise within a collaborative environment.

The Team

The Dispute Resolution team advises individuals and businesses across a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, from smaller disagreements through to complex litigation.

The practice has particular experience in property, party wall and boundary disputes, building disputes, landlord and tenant matters, debt recovery and insolvency, alongside wider civil litigation.

The team takes a practical approach to dispute resolution, focusing on achieving the best commercial outcome for clients and resolving matters wherever possible without unnecessary litigation.

The team is headed by an established Partner who has been with the firm for over seven years, having played a key role in growing and developing the Dispute Resolution practice. With extensive experience across a broad range of contentious matters, they have built a strong and collaborative team with a reputation for practical, commercially focused advice.

The team works closely with the firm's Property, Commercial and other specialist teams, providing joined-up advice where matters cross practice areas. Lawyers are given meaningful responsibility for their caseload, strong client exposure and the opportunity to develop their expertise with close Partner support.

The Role

The firm is seeking a Dispute Resolution Associate / Senior Associate (3–6 PQE) to join its established team.

This is a broad generalist disputes role, with a particular emphasis on property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency. You will manage a varied caseload, work directly with clients and take matters from initial instruction through to resolution.

You will have the opportunity to advise on:

  • Property, boundary and party wall disputes
  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Building and construction-related disputes
  • Debt recovery and enforcement
  • Insolvency-related disputes and claims
  • Contractual and commercial disputes
  • Wider civil litigation and contentious matters
  • Pre-action correspondence, negotiations and settlement
  • Court proceedings and litigation strategy
  • Drafting pleadings, applications, witness statements and other litigation documentation
  • Managing matters through the full dispute resolution process
  • Working alongside colleagues across Property, Commercial and other practice areas
  • Building strong client relationships through practical and commercially focused advice

This is an excellent opportunity for a generalist Dispute Resolution Solicitor with strong experience in property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency, looking for varied work, meaningful responsibility and close client and Partner exposure.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years' PQE (England & Wales) with strong generalist disputes experience
  • Experience in property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency is essential
  • Experience managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Good commercial awareness and a practical approach to dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload with appropriate autonomy
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to work across different practice areas
  • Ambition to develop within a growing and well-established practice
