Dispute Resolution Solicitor - Preston - Competitive Salary + Benefits
A forward-thinking and client-focused law firm is looking for an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join its established Preston team. This is an excellent opportunity to handle complex, high-value commercial disputes while taking on genuine responsibility, client contact, and a key role in the continued growth of the practice.
As a Dispute Resolution Solicitor in Preston, you will manage your own varied caseload alongside working as part of wider client teams. The role offers high-quality work across commercial and contractual disputes and professional negligence, with opportunities to supervise junior lawyers and develop your profile through business development.
The Role
- Handling a varied caseload of complex and high-value commercial disputes
- Working as part of client teams on contractual claims and professional negligence matters
- Advising corporate and individual clients on risk management & dispute resolution strategies
- Managing matters with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating on larger cases
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear, commercial advice
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting junior members of the Dispute Resolution team
- Contributing to business development, networking, and the continued growth of the practice
- Joining a collaborative firm with a strong reputation for technical expertise and client service

The Candidate
- 5+ years PQE as a qualified Solicitor with substantial Dispute Resolution experience
- A strong track record working on complex and high-value contentious matters
- Experience across commercial disputes, contractual claims, and/or professional negligence
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical, solution-focused advice
- Proven experience supervising and developing junior lawyers
- Strong client management, networking, and business development capabilities
- Proactive, tenacious, and confident working effectively under pressure
