About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with experience in civil litigation who is looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload while assisting the Senior Solicitor with more complex and high-value matters.

The role will primarily be based in Banbury, with occasional travel to other offices required for client meetings and appointments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation and dispute resolution matters.
• Take responsibility for progressing matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Provide support to the Senior Solicitor on more complex disputes and litigation.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, barristers, courts, and other third parties.
• Instruct and liaise with counsel where appropriate.
• Respond to client enquiries by telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings, ensuring clients receive clear and timely advice.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records and ensure all files are managed in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Work towards agreed financial, performance, and departmental targets.
• Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and client service.
• Use the firm's case management and time-recording systems effectively.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and relevant professional development events.
• Attend appropriate networking, exhibition, and client events where required.
