Responsibilities

  • Oversee disrepair cases from the initial complaint through to resolution, with the goal of preventing legal escalation.
  • Ensure prompt and effective handling of all cases in line with Council procedures.
  • Monitor the progress of cases, including timelines and costs, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide recommendations on settlement options based on risk assessment, costs, and case specifics.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing or supporting disrepair, housing repairs, or casework within a local authority or housing context.
  • Proficiency in handling complex correspondence and drafting comprehensive reports.
  • Experience collaborating with contractors or surveyors to deliver services.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of social housing, housing legislation, and disrepair processes.
  • Familiarity with local authority practices and procedures.

  • Working hours: 35 hours per week
  • Location: 6 Brixton Hill, London, Lambeth, SW2 1RW, United Kingdom
  • Work arrangement: 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home
  • Bi-weekly work schedule
