We are looking for someone organised, proactive and confident in working with a range of stakeholders to ensure cases are progressed efficiently, compliantly and with a strong focus on service improvement.
What's the role?
You will support the effective management of housing disrepair cases, working with surveyors, legal teams, contractors and residents to ensure claims are progressed efficiently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements. You will help coordinate inspections, monitor repair works, maintain accurate case records and support the Council’s wider aim of improving housing standards and resident outcomes.
What’s in it for you?
Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:
- Generous holiday allowance
- Local Government Pension scheme
- Flexible working and family friendly policies
- Season ticket and bicycle loans
- A range of staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships
- Supportive staff networks
What we’re looking for
You will be organised, detail-focused and confident managing competing priorities in a busy disrepair service. You will be able to work independently, using sound judgement to progress cases, resolve issues and know when to escalate. Accuracy, clear record keeping and a proactive approach will be key to supporting positive outcomes for residents

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
