Then we’d love you to join us at ScS as a Distribution Centre Supervisor.
What’s the opportunity?
We’re on the lookout for a Distribution Centre Supervisor to come and join our team in Livingston. This is a key role within the logistics network and we’re looking for someone who can support the leadership team by helping to manage and support our team, coaching them to be the best they can, and continue to provide an excellent customer experience throughout the delivery process.
What does the role involve?
- Oversee the unloading and receipt of goods into the warehouse
- Supervise the completion of all checks and documentation required by law on delivery vehicles and ensures that the appropriate documentation is kept on file and available for inspection at all times
- Oversee and undertake quality inspections of goods for delivery, initiating remedial action as required and ensuring goods are wrapped for despatch in line with Company policy and established working practices
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team, including training, developing and motivating the team to optimise individual and collective work performance
- Proactively contribute to the management of Health and Safety within the DC
- Monitor the workload of colleagues and make sure that manual handling and other health and safety processes are being followed
- Supervise and assist the team with moving and handling of furniture and carpets within the warehouse
- Supervise and contribute towards general housekeeping within the DC and vehicles, making sure that they follow company standards
