THE ROLE
We're looking for an organised, proactive and commercially minded Distribution Coordinator to join our international sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves children's television and wants to build a career in content distribution, acquisitions and sales.
Working across CAKE's global catalogue, you'll support relationships with broadcasters, streaming platforms, producers and distribution partners around the world. You'll gain hands-on experience across content distribution, sales operations, acquisitions, rights management, international business development and AI-enabled business operations.
In addition, you'll play an important role in helping the company explore and implement new AI-powered tools and workflows. We're particularly interested in candidates who enjoy finding smarter ways of working and who are confident using technology to solve business challenges and improve efficiency.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Building Relationships & Supporting Clients
- Support the sales team in maintaining strong relationships with broadcasters, streaming platforms and distribution partners worldwide.
- Manage client access to the company screening room, ensuring partners can easily evaluate content.
- Prepare presentations, title information, sales materials and client updates that help bring our catalogue to life.
- Be a friendly and responsive point of contact for clients, assisting with enquiries regarding programme availability, rights, dubbing materials and screening access.
Supporting Sales & Business Development
- Maintain Salesforce records, tracking deals, opportunities, client activity and key contacts across the sales pipeline.
- Prepare regular sales, client activity and business development reports, providing insights that support commercial decision-making and territory planning.
- Research new business opportunities, market trends and potential customers across international territories.
- Maintain and develop the client database, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Support business development activities and client follow-up initiatives.
- Assist in preparing sales proposals, territory plans and licensing presentations.

International Markets & Industry Events
- Help coordinate major international markets and trade events, including MIP London, MIPCOM, Annecy (MIFA), Asia Television Forum (ATF) and other key industry gatherings.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, meeting schedules, budgets and sales materials.
- Support meeting preparation and client hospitality at industry events.
- Assist with post-market reporting, business development and follow-up activities.
Catalogue & Rights Management
- Create and maintain deal records, rights entries, title availabilities and associated documentation across RightsLine and related business systems.
- Create availability reports and help ensure rights are managed accurately and efficiently.
- Support the preparation of rights information for sales discussions and negotiations.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in rights tracking and reporting processes.
Content Acquisitions
- Coordinate incoming acquisitions submissions, ensuring materials are collected, organised and shared with relevant stakeholders.
- Liaise with producers and content creators regarding programme information, screeners, marketing assets and submission materials.
- Support the evaluation, tracking and internal assessment of acquisition opportunities.
- Help identify content with strong international distribution potential.
- Maintain accurate records of submissions, materials and acquisition activity.
AI & Process Innovation
- Explore and implement AI-powered tools and workflows that improve efficiency across sales, acquisitions, rights management and business operations.
- Help identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline internal processes.
- Support the development of internal AI agents, automations and knowledge systems using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and related technologies.
- Work with colleagues across departments to improve ways of working through technology and automation.
- Research emerging AI tools and identify practical opportunities to improve knowledge sharing, reporting, collaboration, decision-making and operational efficiency across the business.
- Act as an internal champion for innovation, helping colleagues adopt new tools and best practices.
Working Across the Business
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Production, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Finance teams.
- Support the delivery and distribution of marketing materials to clients and partners.
- Attend development, acquisition and producer meetings and prepare summaries, reports and follow-up actions where required.
Administration & Team Support
- Provide diary management, travel booking and expense support for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and supporting documentation across company systems.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within your first 12 months you will:
- Become a trusted point of contact for clients and internal teams.
- Develop a strong understanding of CAKE's catalogue, rights structure and distribution strategy.
- Maintain highly accurate sales, rights and client data.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of international markets and business development initiatives.
- Implement or support AI-powered improvements that enhance efficiency, productivity or knowledge sharing across the business.
- Begin taking ownership of selected projects, accounts or territories.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
As you gain experience, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of selected territories, client relationships and commercial projects while developing your commercial, strategic and operational expertise. Successful candidates will gain exposure to international sales strategy, acquisitions, rights management and emerging AI-driven business operations. There will be opportunities to attend major industry events, lead internal improvement projects, develop AI-enabled workflows and progressively assume responsibility for accounts, territories and revenue-generating activities.

- Experience in television, media, licensing, distribution or entertainment.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Experience using AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude or similar technologies in a professional environment.
- Experience developing workflows, automations, templates or internal knowledge resources.
- Experience identifying, documenting or improving business processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and AI productivity platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Zapier or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of rights management systems such as RightsLine.
- Additional language skills.
